People of Christ Church Anniversary – Tracy, CA

All CBC members are invited and encouraged to attend the 30th Anniversary Service of People of Christ Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM, located at 11473 W. Larch Rd, Tracy, CA 95304. Our very own Pastor Raymond will be preaching the Word of God.

As a church family, we continue to lift one another in prayer. The following requests have been shared with the church publicly, and we invite you to cover them in prayer.

  • Sis Janie – praying for continued healing, strength, and peace as she navigates her health journey. She has been courageously facing cancer and is standing firmly on God’s promises, trusting that He is not finished with her yet. Let’s continue to lift her up in faith and cover her in prayer.
  •  Sis. Cameron – praying for healing, comfort, and strength for her aunt following surgery. As she faithfully lifts her aunt up in prayer each day, we stand with her in faith, asking God for relief and complete restoration.
  • Young Teen – praying for comfort and strength as she navigates the loss of her father. May she feel God’s peace and the love of those around her.
  • Sis. Andrea, Sis. Shantonne & Sis. Linda – praying for comfort, strength, and peace as they grieve the loss of Linda’s son. We ask that God surrounds them with His presence and brings them comfort during this difficult time.
  • Deacon Lockett – lifting him in prayer, asking God for a favorable report and that the cancer has not spread. We pray for healing, strength, and continued faith during this time.
  • Deacon Stokes & family (Georgia) – lifting them in prayer as they navigate the passing of his sister. We thank God for the comfort and joy found in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now with the Lord.
  • Sis. Janice & family – lifting them in prayer as they grieve several recent losses. May God bring comfort, strength, and peace, and cover the entire family during this season.
  • Deaconess Webber & family – lifting them in prayer following the passing of her daughter, Tina Webber. We ask that God provides comfort, strength, and peace during this time of profound loss.

Please keep members of our church family in prayer this week. God knows every need. Let’s continue covering one another in faith and love.

Welcome Message From our Pastor

You’ve come to a special place! Not by accident either.  What makes Cosmopolitan such a special place is the fact that every member’s name is known and their story matters. If you’re new to the area, or checking out churches, or wondering about the Christian faith, there is room for you here. If you’re in a season of victory or significant struggle, there is room for you here too. I’d love to learn your name and hear your story. I’ll share some of mine also!

I’m honored to serve as the under-shepherd of this church.  A church for the people. We are committed to reaching the lost, reconciling divisions, raising up leaders, redeeming our city, and renewing the church. We remain eager for the day when all things are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, and we are grateful to participate in that reconciling work.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our church and our community and discover ways in which you can get involved. You’ll meet our staff, learn our mission and vision and see glimpses of the wider community we get to love and serve. If you would like to connect with us further, please feel free to email me: raymond.williams@cbcoakland.org.

I look forward to meeting you!

IHS,

Raymond Williams

Senior Pastor
